UKS2 Knife Crime Session

PC Gemma Jackson visited Years 5 & 6 to educate the children about offensive and dangerous weapons and knife crime.

It was shared that any object that is used with intent to harm someone is considered a weapon and the police deal with it very seriously. The children also learned that the criminal age of responsibility is 10 years of age.

The children had lots of questions and we talked a lot about being an 'Upstander' speaking up when you see, hear, notice something or someone being unsafe.

PC Gemma Jackson really enjoyed her sessions and has promised to visit again in her full uniform and for longer sessions so the children can fully benefit.
